THE PERFECT GIFT
Tis the season and everybody is looking for the perfect gift and the best deal they can get on it too.
Well as I was pondering on that this morning and reading about our Savior’s birth. It was then I realized that the best deal of our lifetime is the one He extended to us by coming to earth as a vulnerable babe, living some thirty years preaching the gospel plus much more, and then dying for you and me on the cross to take away the sin of the world.
Maybe you are like me and you have taken Him up on that deal, but maybe you are not and you don’t know that right now is your time to say yes to the best deal you will ever make in your lifetime. By accepting th greatest gift of all.
Why? Because Jesus freely offers salvation to all who call upon Him. He offers His righteousness for our sin. He offers eternal life with Him instead of eternal separation from God and Hell. A Gift you only have to receive.
RECEIVING
Here is what you must do to receive it:
First you have to acknowledge that you are a sinner. That sin separates you from a Holy God.
The Bible says that there is not a single soul on earth who is without sin.
Surely there is not a righteous man on earth who does good and never sins. Ecclesiastes 7:20 ESV
Even Christians admit that they sin and must fall upon the righteousness of Jesus Christ. I do.

Then after you confess that you are a sinner you say this simple prayer to receive salvation.
If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:9 NIV
PRAY THIS WAY
Dear Jesus,
I am so sorry for my sins. I believe I need your forgiveness. I believe that you died on the cross and shed your blood to save me from my sin. Lord Jesus I ask you now to come into my heart and be Lord of my life. I turn away from my sin and towards a new life with you. I choose the best gift of eternal life with you starting right now. Wash me clean and make me whole. FIll me with your Holy Spirit who will help me and guide me. Thank you for the best Christmas gift because now I can tell the world I am saved.

The angels in heaven are rejoicing over you right now.
Just so, I tell you, there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance. Luke 15:7 ESV

CHRISTIANS ARE NOT PERFECT
