Grace.
We speak this word so freely.
It rolls off our tongue, but does it live in our hearts.
Who has your heart imprisoned?
Are you the guard at the gates?
Is someone else?
Why?
[Tweet “Our pardon was purchased on Calvary. CONDEMNATION is no longer for you or I. We are engulfed in grace. We only need to recognize it. Acknowledge it. “]
Philemon 1:6 (ESV) and I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every good thing that is in us for the sake of Christ
Like a hidden bookmark in our Bible, so we are hidden in Christ.
There is no need to call the governor for a pardon. Or anyone else.
[Tweet “Romans 3:23-24 New International Version (NIV) 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”]
God who rules the universe has done so at Jesus Christ’s expense.
Live freely acknowledging grace, mercy and love spilled out, lifeblood on Calvary for you. For me.
Be loved.
Have you received grace? Read God’s love letter to you.
John 3:16 (ESV) “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
You will never be good enough to save yourself, to change yourself.
God knew that. So He sent His Son. Divine blood in a human body sacrificed on the cross.
Blood that flowed down the torn body of a man it seemed, but Jesus wasn’t just a man. He wasn’t just a good teacher. He wasn’t just a prophet. He wasn’t crazy either.
With full-blown love for mankind, He decided with sound mind to die for you. For me.
Through simple trust that he loves you and died for you, you can obtain forgiveness and eternal life.
Romans tells us we have all sinned.
Romans 3:23-24 New International Version (NIV) 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.
Ever told a lie?
Ever stolen anything?
We all have.
Romans 3:23 acknowledges that.
[Tweet “My favorite two words in the Bible are But God!”]
But, if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouth that Jesus is Savior and Lord then we shall be cleansed for eternity.
Won’t you pray this prayer to receive His gift of cleansing and new life that is eternal?
Father God,
I am a sinner. I believe that Jesus died and took the judgement of all sinners on himself. I believe he did this only because He chose to love me. Wash me Lord and make me clean. Hide me in Christ and take my life. Show me what grace means. Lead me daily to walk in relationship with you. Protect me as I learn of you. Thank you Lord. I am redeemed. In Jesus name, Amen.
