Gratitude is Attitude: U~Unveil God’s Grace

Today as I considered the needs and requests I wanted to bring before the God who is able to provide and do all things I found grace unveiled.

As I have been cultivating an attitude of gratitude I have seen the unveiled graces of God become something I don’t have to dig for.  There was a sign in the office I volunteer at that reads, “Don’t count your days by the harvests, but rather by the seeds you sowed that day.”

Show Me Your Glory

I understand so many people are hurting today.  They may have lost a loved one, may have lost a job, may have loved ones who are sick, or maybe some of you are sick as well.

I pray that God will unveil His graces to you, and show you His glory as He did Moses.

The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

15 Then Moses said to him, “If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. 16 How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?”

17 And the Lord said to Moses, “I will do the very thing you have asked, because I am pleased with you and I know you by name.”

18 Then Moses said, “Now show me your glory.”

19 And the Lord said, “I will cause all my goodness to pass in front of you, and I will proclaim my name, the Lord, in your presence. I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 20 But,” he said, “you cannot see my face, for no one may see me and live.”

21 Then the Lord said, “There is a place near me where you may stand on a rock. 22 When my glory passes by, I will put you in a cleft in the rock and cover you with my hand until I have passed by. 23 Then I will remove my hand and you will see my back; but my face must not be seen.”  Exodus 33:17-23 NIV

If you are struggling with finding some grace unveiled in your circumstances it may seem like God is nowhere to be found.  Sometimes we have to remember that Moses couldn’t see God coming, but He knew when God had been there. I pray that soon you will be able to say you just saw the glory of God pass by.

Some Graces Unveiled

Here are some graces God revealed to me today:

My husband, children, and I are sick……but I know the Healer, and we had insurance to cover our nine prescriptions this afternoon.

Our truck is only big enough for two people with a family of five……but it’s transportation that we are thankful for.

My oldest is living a few states away.  I long to see her at my Thanksgiving table…..but she is healthy and well taken care of.

I cleaned my crazy messy house a few times today cause we have three kids running around…..but Super storm Sandy stayed offshore as it passed Virginia so I have a house to clean.

And as I unveiled these graces I smiled because there are grace promises that tell me God is going to do exceedingly abundantly above all I can ask or think about all the cares of my heart.  I may not see God coming, but I will know when He has been here.  Until then I want to give Him praise because He is always on time.

My Prayer For You

I pray that as you celebrate Thanksgiving you are able to unveil grace where you are.  I pray you are healthy, surrounded by those you love, are stuffed with turkey and all the fix-ins, and that your blessings are abundant.  Lord bless them, and keep them, and may your glory oh Lord shine upon them.  In Jesus name, Amen.

I am so thankful for you Beloved.  One day we will all sit at a table together and break bread.  Oh what a day that will be Beloved.  Happy Thanksgiving from our family to yours.   ❤ Melinda
