Do you remember that song? If you caught the song title in the title of this post you are probably hearing the refrain.
“Just another Manic Monday, I wish it were a Sunday.”

Is this how you feel as you approach the week?
Are you dangling from your coffee cup begging for more energy and a way to work things out?
Guess what?
In our walk with God we don’t have to wait for rest. We can take it.
The kind I am speaking of is rest in His work. Resting by laboring only to believe in what God has done in His work on the cross.
Once Jesus was asked the following:
“What can we do to work the works of God.”
Jesus told them, “This is the only work God wants from you: Believe in the one he has sent.”
John 6:29 NLT
So are you having a manic Monday in the faith department?
Ask yourself this:
What am I believing?
What am I working so hard at that I just need to believe God about??
28-30 “Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”
Matthew 11:28-30 The Message
