A Spiritual War
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled. 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NKJV
We do not battle flesh and blood, but rather we fight against spiritual enemies in heavenly places. The battle we are fighting has been won. We have weapons of warfare that Jesus Christ has left us to use in battle that ,through His power and name, tears down whatever exalts itself against the knowledge of who He is and His Word. These weapons are given to us in the Word, and acquired by faith in Jesus Christ’s finished work on the cross.
Although we don’t have flesh and blood enemies, we use the sacrifice of Jesus’s flesh and blood to overcome the enemy along with the word of our testimony.
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11 NKJV
In examination of the weapons we have, our first consideration should be their power which is understood best in realization of triumph over evil in Jesus Christ.

We Already Won
Fighting a battle to win a victory is a lot different from fighting a battle from victory. Consider a challenge that comes against the reigning champion boxer who holds the heavyweight title. He already has proven his power. It is the challenger that must attempt to prove greater ability. Our God has proven His power over the enemy, and that no weapon formed against that power can prosper. The battle that has been won can now only be challenged in the mind.
Deception
Satan comes to steal, kill, and destroy. (John 10:10) He is the father of lies. (John 8:44) A deceiver. (Revelation 12:9) He challenges our victory in the thought life because his only hope to keep us defeated is to steal the knowledge of victory from us. If he can convince us that we have not yet won, then he can deceive us into submission to his power. Power he does not have over the blood bought children of God.
Our first weapon is knowledge of victory in Jesus Christ which we receive by our faith, and our testimony of that faith in Jesus. There is power in the blood of the Lamb!
Add This to Your Arsenal
Meditation is rehearsing something in your mind and helps us replace our thoughts with the truth of God’s word. Add the following to your arsenal through meditation. Consider each word for deeper meaning. The Holy Spirit wants to ensure you of victory and the deceiver. Ask for His help in understanding you have it in Christ!
11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. Revelation 12:11 NKJV
33 “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 NKJV
